How Do I Place or Renew a Fixed Deposit?

Plan your deposit term and access to your money.

Choose a fixed term

TNB’s Private deposit page lists a £10,000 minimum and terms of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Existing clients can ask the team to place money from their current account for an agreed term and rate.

Multi-currency deposits

TNB’s Private Banking offering includes deposits in major currencies. Ask our team which currencies and terms are available for the amount you wish to place.

Access during the term

The rate is fixed for the agreed term. You cannot add money or withdraw after the start date. Contact our team if you need access before maturity.

At maturity

The balance and accrued interest are credited to your current account. Renewal requires an instruction in the original request or notice to the team three days before maturity.

Instant access and protection

Current accounts allow access subject to their terms; interest is variable. Eligible deposits are protected by the Gibraltar Deposit Guarantee Scheme up to £120,000 per depositor at the bank, across accounts and currencies. Scheme conditions apply.
