How Do I Send and Receive Payments?
Choose the instructions for your currency and payment route.
Set up a beneficiary first
TNB’s June 2026 platform update says beneficiaries must be created before a payment. Open Payments and Transfers → Manage Beneficiaries → Add New Beneficiary. Enter the details and check them before confirming.
Make and approve a payment
01
Choose Make a payment and select your saved beneficiary.
02
Complete the currency, amount and payment details, then review them.
03
Confirm and approve the transaction in the TNB mobile app. Use the full payment guide for any currency-specific instructions.
Manage saved beneficiaries
In Manage Beneficiaries, expand the relevant entry. Edit lets you update its nickname and address; Remove asks you to confirm deletion.
Sending money
GBP and EUR transfers to TNB accounts through NetBank are free. Other online and manual payments may incur fees. EEA beneficiary payments must use shared charges. For other currencies sent outside TNB, enter the recipient’s address in Special Instructions for the Bank; value is plus one day.
Receiving money
For UK/Gibraltar GBP payments, use your full account name, eight-digit UK-format account number and sort code 40-51-78. For overseas GBP or EUR, use your full account name, IBAN and BIC TNOVGIGI.
Other currencies
Incoming payments from non-TNB accounts require the Currencycloud IBAN supplied by TNB and its published correspondent details. Incoming payments from TNB use your TNOV IBAN. Follow the full instructions before sharing details.
Timing and charges
TNB publishes a 14:00 CET cut-off: GBP/EUR/DKK same-day value; other currencies plus one day. Later instructions are processed the next working day. Correspondent deductions may apply, including €15 for outgoing EUR outside the preferred-country list.
