What Is Visa Secure?
Previously Verified by Visa, Visa Secure uses 3-D Secure to help protect online card purchases.
Approving a payment
A one-time passcode (OTP) arrives by SMS at participating checkouts. Keep your registered mobile number updated; otherwise you may be unable to pay.
Before entering your code
Check your purchase carefully:

Check the merchant and amount in the SMS and checkout screen.

Enter the code only for a purchase you recognise; this approves it.

Never share passwords or passcodes, including by phone.

Safe online shopping
Choose reputable retailers; check for HTTPS. Question unrealistic discounts, retain confirmations, update your browser and operating system, and store your card safely.
Calls from TNB
We may ask security questions, but never request your full card number, account number, PIN or passcode.
Unexpected or repeated codes?
Possible fraud: don’t use or share them. Immediately block your card in the TNB Cards App or Cards Portal, then contact Card Services. Visa International can also assist.
